    "He worked with his father together with his brother Pietro, by whom he was strongly influenced, later taking over the workshop, a position he occupied until his death. He showed a preference for a neat model, and his work is in general very clean, with flatter archings and the f holes not so upright as his father's work. Quite good work alternates with other examples inferior in both material and workmanship, which seems to indicate that this master was compelled to serve the less affluent clients, leaving his father and brother to concentrate exclusively on the others"
